Gratuities are not included in our pricing. We encourage clients to tip stylists appropriately if your service exceeds expectations (which we know it will!).

How long will my service take?

At The Hair Lab, we try to be as prompt and efficient with our scheduling as possible, sometimes services require more time than expected. We will try to give you a courtesy call or text when a stylist is running late, but in some cases we cannot foresee the issue, please be aware that each guest has different needs and in some cases the stylist might be running late. We will try to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Can you guarantee the desired color?

Every hair is different and the client’s starting point is different due to past color history, therefore we do not guarantee the exact result. We strive to achieve it but it depends on how your individual hair takes on the color and bleach.

Can I bring my own color?

No. We use professional products only and cannot use your product since we want to be able to ensure the best outcome possible.

What are the different types of highlights?

Babylights, balayage, chunky, partial, and full highlights are all variations of highlights. The most popular are balayage, partial and full highlights.
Balayage is a technique that involves freehand painting. It creates a multi-tonal and multi-dimensional look. This is achieved because lighter pieces are blended throughout starting very fine at the base of the hair and gradually getting thicker towards the ends. Balayage will always give a more subtle result than full highlights.
Partial highlights cover only the front hair strands near your face or the top hair layer only, while the sections underneath remain untouched.
Full or traditional highlights cover more hair strands from the base to the ends in a specific sectioning pattern leaving some natural hair in between each foil.
Contact us for a consultation to determine what is best for your needs according to your hair, likes and budget.
